What is in-home pet sitting?
Very simply, in-home pet care is caring for your pets inside the comfort of their own home while you are away on vacation or business.
Our mission is to be the "next best thing" to you being there with your pets. Pets are used to being at home and that is where they are most comfortable. We focus on keeping your pets safe, healthy and giving them a lot of PURE LOVE and snuggles. Beyond that, of course, we want to keep up their routine and make them as comfortable as possible. Below you will see a detailed list of what is included in each visit.
Our service is very professional. We also focus on making YOUR life easier by vacuuming when needed, cleaning up messes, and giving your house that lived-in feel. You will also receive excellent communication with pet reports and real time photos at each visit inside our confidential and password protected pet sitting software. Our clients report feeling at ease and having peace of mind when they travel.
Our First Appointment: "Meet-Greet-and-Learn"
This first appointment is all about getting to know each other. We want to make sure you and your pets are completely comfortable with us and that everything feels good to you. Plus, we want to learn all of the details about your pets, your home and just exactly how you like things done.
Because it's so important to be thorough, we do charge a one-time fee of $25 for the "meet and greet" appointment.
How do I get started?
It's very simple. You can make an online reservation, text/call 919.926.0520, or you can email purelovepetsitting@gmail.com. We will then invite you to our pet sitting software and have you review our contract/policies, set up your pets profile and schedule your pet care. From there we will review your pet's profile and then schedule your meet and greet.
Unsure about number of visits or visit lengths for your pet(s)?
We are happy to assist you when deciding how many visits and how long they should be. We have a lot of experience and can quickly give you our suggestions.
For Cats: Typically shy kitties need a 15 minute visit, while kitties that want attention or need medication require a 30 minute visit. It really depends on your cats needs and we are here to help guide you.
For Dogs: Most of our clients choose 3 or 4 visits per day for their dogs and we feel that is an excellent choice. Most pups need multiple potty breaks. The good thing is that you can vary these visit lengths by day. So, typically we recommend a 30 minute visit at meal times. That gives your pup enough time to eat at their own pace and go for a nice walk while always receiving lots of love, attention, and praise. This also gives us time to tidy up, bring in mail, packages, and perform other tasks that may be included with your chosen service.
Then at lunchtime or bedtime our clients typically choose a 15 minute potty break. This is a quick visit for a short walk or backyard time in a fenced in space. Again, it all depends on the needs of your pets and what they are used to receiving when you are home.
Here's something to consider when you're trying to decide how many potty breaks you should schedule:
Veterinarians have discovered that health issues can develop when you require your dog to hold their urine for a prolonged period of time, including, but not limited to Kidney problems, Urinary Tract Infections, Incontinence. On average, a healthy dog should be let out to urinate once every four to six hours. Smaller and senior dogs more often.
Have more than one pet?
It's very common for our clients to have more than one pet. All of our visits are carefully structured based on time to give your pet sitter plenty of it to take excellent care of your home and ALL of your pets. If you have multiple pets, more time may be required.

Vacuuming and sweeping up litter, pet hair, and pet messes.
Freshened food and water bowls and clean feeding mats.

Other Service Fees:
After Hours: $5 per visit (7pm-10pm)
Holiday Visits: $10 per visit
Garden Watering: $10 per watering
Emergency Pet Taxi: $45 per trip
Supply Run: $45 per trip
